I collaborated making the cover of issue 199, ‘Dret a la vivenda’ (Right to housing), on the problem of high rents due to the proliferation of tourist apartments in Barcelona.
I had the great honor to create the image of 42 Barcelona Fantastic Genre Festival second edition that took place on November 2022. A literature festival dedicated to fantasy and science fiction tales with talks, presentations, interviews, workshops, recitals, exhibitions and other activities related to this literary genre.
Ajuntament de Barcelona and Barcelona Cultura commissioned me the poster illustration and the festival visual identity along with and all the applications: street banners, animation, merchandising, signing, etc.
I wanted to pay tribute to different non-realistic genres like epic fantasy, science-fiction or horror, each of them represented by one element. All of it placed in one of the places where the highest number of readers are to be found: the subway. It is also related to mental health and how writing and reading fantastic literature has helped many generations to deal with the real world issues.
